Happy Anniversary Babe!

One year ago I married the love of my life! I think the first year of marriage is a learning experience; we have grown a lot and look forward to many years together! I made this video for my sweetheart, we sat down and drank homemade Lime Ricky's. By all means you don't have to watch the video, I just had fun making it. I spent most of Saturday putting it together and there are a few spots I would like to fix (I had to find the pictures on 3 computers and drove to my moms to find more pics).

On the Road Again!

Derrick and I wanted to go camping... We called friends and had everything arranged.... little by little our friends were dropping off like flies and the day before we left we lost our last attending friends. So, we decided to venture in the unknown. We drove on a wim to Goblin Valley, only briefly finding directions and reading where we might camp for FREE.

  Of course we took our GPS with us to Geocache. We borrowed my mom's and she has a GeoMate Jr. It is soooo much fun! We would randomly turn it on and it would tell us where the closest cache was. We were often surprrised to find them inthe middle of nowhere. We found this nice area that had bathrooms and you could camp wherever you wanted. We even found a fun Geocache up by a cool old mud/log cabin. We loved this place but decided we would move on the next day after going Goblin Valley!

That place has to be one of the funnest places. It is super unique and easy to loose the person you are with also a fun cache to be found there. We found out that an physical Geocache cannot be in a National Park but can be in a State Park. After Goblin Valley we headed to Moab and ended up on a crazy road driving amelessly for hours. We had many good laughs! We did eventually find Moab and decided to pitch our tent at the Hostle there. A little wired but a duable place. Derrick put up the tent and was convinced we didn't need to peg it down, it was hot and dry. I on the other hand didn't say anything but noticed the girl next to us peg hers down pretty well...... 30-40 mile per hour wins graced us that night! Neither one of  us slept and about 5am we decided to pack up our tent and hit the road to Delecate Arch. WOW I felt like it was a breath taking moment to be there and seeing that arch alone with my sweetheart! We checked out the other arches until we felt there were too many people.

We attended church there in town and it seemed like it was stake conference with all of the visitors. CRAZY, I also found out good friends of mine and my cousin were in MOAB too. Of course all after the fact. We drove to Canyonlands National Park. The haze in the pictures is sand, and it hurt when came towards you!

After Canyonlands we decided to head North and find a somewhere to camp. We loved this bridge crossing the Colorado River!

CHEEZE!

WE camped near Dewy Bridge. We pegged our tent down good this time.... The wind was blowing so much dirt I cooked dinner in the tent... It was still gritty by the time we were done cooking. By morning we had sand piles in our tent! Crazy wind! We woke up early and packed up and drove straight home without breakfast. lol We even had the option of staying an extra night and we wanted to get away from the wind!

SILVER WOLF

Derrick and I attended Silver Wolf this past Friday and Saturday. My calling here in my ward is the Cubmaster and Derrick's is the Weblos leader. I hope I never have to leave the cubscouts! I love the boys and all the amazing things they are learning to become better men and fathers in this world! Silver Wolf is an Adult Training on how to become the ideal scout leader. I will say that I walked away with what people call the "spirit of scouting." I seriously have this burning desire to become a better person and scout leader. The boys are the reason! We had so much fun and the bunk beads we slept on were not too bad either! Before we left we wrote goals and in a year we will meet up and if we have accomplished those goals we will earn our Silver Wolf award! GREAT things to look forward to! I meet many friends that I feel I will know for a long time. Overall we learned more ways to magnify our callings in the scouting program! I hope everyone in the scouting program takes the opportunity to attend Silver Wolf.  I was waiting to post once I got pictures.... I guess I'll post without them.

I MISS YOU CALIFORNIA!

We recently returned home from a trip to California! We had so much fun. Tuesday after finals we hit the road for St. George, I questioned driving because my eyes were sleepy by Salt Lake. We made it safe and sound and rather quickly. The speed limit a lot of the way is now 80mph! YAHOO
Day one~ driving, we did get to stay the night with a friend that served in my mission.
Day two~ we headed towards Vegas where we met up with our Friends Cami and Mike and their 4 kids. We all road together to sunny CA! We stopped in Redlands to see Derrick's aunt and uncle. We made our lunch and headed on our way to San Diego! Oh my gosh I was super excited about being there! I was like a child on Christmas Eve... couldn't wait for the next day

Day Three~ OFF to SEA WORLD! A place I have waited 25yrs. to go! I watched Free Willey and loved it as a child! I got to see SHAMU! so one of my favorite shows was with the seals! Loved the Atlantis ride.

Day Four~Little crispy, but stil ha fun at Lego Land. You would not believe the things that can be made out of Lego's, unless you have been there.

Day 5~ Beach Baby, We headed to the beach and had so much fun. Cami, Ryan and I went out to jump the salty waves. My contacts did not like the salt so much and we may have gone a little far out and the life guards yelled at us on their speakers.

After the beach we headed to Vegas.... what a long car ride with the little ones.... I can't count how many times I heard SHAMU SHAMU and the hand signs followed.... Derrick and I were licked, hit with flying objects, and so many others things. We got our car in Vegas and headed to St. George for the night. Home to Morgan for Easter and Petersen to have lunch with Derrick's family.

Lost SD card

So I found my lost SD card and I found some fun pictures to post!  After Thanksgiving before we pulled the table back to the kitchen we decided to make a fort out of it and sleep under it, like when we were kids..... we didn't remember the floor being that hard when we were younger!

I think I can make it!

I have two more days of classes and then two days of finals. All 6 classes are coming to an end! I have worked to hard to pass each and every one. Lately I have worried myself sick wondering if I have done everything I could have to receive good grades. I can to the conclusion that I have done my best and I will walk away with my head high. I am particularly worried about one class, the teacher has a higher grading standard and a B- is a 85. I need a B- to keep my status in the education program. A few assignments he has graded me harshly on and others nearly 100%. Lots of final projects and papers.... way too many to think about! One day at a time! I have drunk more Dr. Pepper then I should have lately! Oh and if I make it thought these next few days, Derrick and I are leaving after the last test is finished. My friend Cami asked us if we wanted to join her family on a trip to San Diego! HECK YES! Her and her husband have four active kids (15, 14, 8, 5), this will be an adventure for us. We will be gone 6 days and we are going the cheapest way possible! Did you know if you pre-pay on some higher end hotel rooms you can get more then half off? I have lots of fun ways to save money on vacation.... I'll talk about them when I get home.... just to make sure they still work! LOL
My other melt down this week was when I realized that there might not be room in level 3 this fall. I went to sign up for classes 2 days after they opened. They were full the first day. I had no idea it would be a fight for a seat. I am now the 5th on a waiting list.... hoping and praying! I have my class this summer to stay on track to graduate in the spring! One year from now!!! Hopefully levels in the fall and then student teaching in the spring.
Oh and the new video is one of my new favorite songs! Yea... I pretty much cried through it all! I thought I might share it!

Mission Reunion

I served in the Nebraska Omaha Mission and we had a mission reunion at our mission presidents home in Payson. I was able to see so many friends and 4 mission companions. I had so much fun! I am sure that is an understatement. I brought  a little starter plant home with me. My mission president's mother-in-law lives with them in her own little apartment. I went down to visit with her and came left with a cute little starter of a plant that is over 100 years old. I am going to do my best to get the little plant to root and then plant it in a lovely pot and hope it lives for another 100 years! Sis. Price is such a sweet heart! I have been home now for almost 3 years and I miss the people in Nebraska. I have been back to visit one short time and I am dying to visit again...... One day when we have a car that would make it there and back safely we will go! My sweet heart served in the Rapid City South Dakota which boarded my mission and we want to one day do a double mission tour! Last night I shed a few tears as President and Sister Newman gathered us and spoke encouraging words! I have always looked up to them and always will! NOM will always be the best mission in the world and I look forward to the next time we meet again! God Bless
