Playing Catch UP again!

LAST minute BOISE trip!
My parents decided they hadn’t seen my nieces and nephews in Boise for a while and wanted to take them their Christmas Presents. We decided to go with them! OH WHAT FUN! My parents stayed at a hotel and we stayed with Gaylene and Brent! SOOO much fun! Quick weekend sadly! Gaylene and Brent gave us Homemade Vanilla! SO GOOD!

Ocian loves stickers!

Putting stickers all over Gpa's tummy while he is taking a snoozer!

Kygar and Ocian! Love these boys!

Christmas!
This year my parents actually had room for us to stay with them for Christmas! It may be the first and last time of staying the night! I must be a princess sleeper because there was a street light right out my old bedroom that wasn’t there before and it kept us up all night and bed was SUPER hard! I have a terrible back and it didn’t like the bed at all! We didn’t get any sleep. You should see the pictures that Derrick took of me when my nephew woke us up and the butt crack of dawn!

Here are our cute Christmas Cards! I LOVED THEM this year, although I wish we had gotten professional pictures!

SODA PARTY
Derrick has wanted a Soda Party with his friends for as long as I have known him. When traveling and he comes across a soda that is new to that area or that we have never seen before, he has to buy it! He has SOOO many different sodas! So we decided when we got together with his friends Jake and Holli, we would bring a few drinks with us while we played games and try soda! We had a great night!

BEAR LAKE
Our good friend Leslie called and asked us if we wanted to use her time-share for the week and just pay the housekeeping fee of $90. We honestly couldn’t go the whole week so I called my sisters to see if they wanted to use it part of the week and then we would probably go up for the weekend.  My sisters were super excited to go and they ended up paying half of the cost and we invited our friends, Whitney, Richard, and their adorable girls Cordie and Ella! We had a blast hanging out, playing games, swimming, girls locking themselves into a room! OH SO FUN!

CHANGE OF WATCH
This is was a special event for Derrick I. We were sworn into the Coast Guard Aux. Yes there is Coast Guard in Utah. We mainly educate but volunteer our time on the waters here in Utah helping with the Department of Natural Resources. We love our association with this group of people! We even have a military id.

SNOW STORM!
This has been one of the prettiest snowstorm I have ever seen and it dropped about a foot over night! The trees look fake, I love it!

CUB MASTERS
Well it is official we have been called to be the Cub Masters of our ward! We recently received some awards. We both got our, On Our Honor, I received my CubMaster award (which takes two years to get ) and Derrick received his Webelos Leader award! I love the scouting program and we have one of the best committee, the boys are amazing, and the parents are very supportive! We are extremely happy to be where we are!

SLEDDING
Behind my work there is a ridiculously big hill, probably ¾ of a football field. London and Jaxson wanted to go sledding with the neighbor kids; I wasn’t really prepared to do this but I decided that I could stand and watch them. I decided the big hill was too much for the littles but, there was a smaller hill I sent them down. They were having so much fun on the little hill until I pushed them a little hard that when they leveled out after the first little hill, they went over the edge to the nearly football length hill. OPPS! London tipped over not far down the hill and hated every moment; she came back crying. Jaxson loved it but couldn’t get back up! Sooooo I sled down to get him! Talk about a LONG walk back up and a reminder how out of shape I really am!
LONG HILL!

CAT PEOPLE
Yes we are cat people! We love dogs but we do not have the life style to have a dog. Cats are super easy to take care of and can be left for a short weekend and they will be ok!

VALENTINES
My Sweetheart took me out to Applebees for dinner! LOVE HIM!

COAST GUARD
We went bowling with a few of our Coast Guard friends! They are all so good to us!

PINEWOOD DERBY
Every Pinewood derby, Derrick insists of making him a car. When the boys are done with their races we have a beat the CubMaster race! This year I am not sure why he decided to hand carve his car but that was what he was doing when he made one little mistake and his finger was a cut pretty good. 10pm on a Sunday… he needed stitches…. and we have no idea where an Insta Care is in Bountiful or even the hospital. NOTE TO SELF! When you move to a new area, it would be a good idea to find out where medical facilities are located near you! I called a sister in our ward that I knew would be up and she helped us eliminate all insta cares because of the time, and she directed us to the ER. We drove to the ER and while in the parking lot I decided call a friend of mine that has been a nurse and will be going to school to be a doctor soon. She had us text her pictures and she said it indeed needed stitches but if we wanted to save money we could go home, clean, glue and splint it! That is what we decided to do! What does he do when we get all that done, back to carving his car with a knife! BOYS!
